Mom and Mark at the Ocean

This painting is of Mom and Mark walking to the ocean to spread my dad's ashes into the sea. June of 2011. It is done on yupo. First a wash of fluid acrylic is put on the paper and dried. Then using a subtractive method, alcohol is used to remove the whites. Finally, the darks are added with water color.
Some of my painting friends have inspired me to set up a blog where people can view some paintings, give their comments, and see what I'm working on. It's still in the infant stage, so if you have some suggestions, things you'd like to see, or demo you'd like to have me do, let me know. Following the example of others, this comes with a disclaimer...these are copyrighted paintings, and are protected under copyright laws.
